About me:
Hi! My name is Sherrie Mason. I was born and raised in Owosso, MI. I went to Central MI University (Go Chips!!) where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree and continued on to Saginaw Valley for my Masters. I was fortunate enough to get hired for the Bay City Public Schools a couple months after I graduated; and that was 25 years ago. (Wow! Time flies!!)
I met my husband Wayne 22 years ago and we have one son, Garrett, who is in the eighth grade. Garrett swims for BAYS (a local swim club), so our life consists of driving him back and forth from swimming eight months out of the year. As a family, we enjoy traveling, boating, snowmobiling, reading, and board/card games. We also are big animal lovers and currently have a 16lb. cat named Dusty 10 yrs. Old), a 7lb. cat named (Ms. Hampton—she was found here—3 years old), and our recent rescue, a 16 month old dog named Aztek (he has one blue eye and one brown eye).
Throughout my career, I have taught grades K-2nd and have taught reading skills to struggling readers. I look forward to working with each one of the children and instilling a love of reading in order for them to become lifelong readers. With teamwork (parents & teacher), your child will be successful in school!!!
