About me:
Welcome to a new and exciting school year at Hampton Elementary
School! I am looking forward to working with an exceptional group of students.
My name is Mrs. Amanda Koth. This is my sixteenth year teaching for the Bay City Public Schools. I taught for eight years at Handy Middle School, and this is my eighth year teaching at the elementary level. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from CMU in Elementary Education and my Master’s of Teaching Middle School Degree was earned from SVSU.
I have a son and a daughter who are students at Handy Middle School. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my dog, Macy.
The students and I are expecting to have a fun and exciting year! We have many things that we will be learning in fifth grade. Some of the things that we will be focusing on are: U.S. history, government, reading, writing, math, systems and survival, force and motion, The Solar System, and much more. The fifth graders are looking forward to taking field trips this year that support what they are learning in their curriculum.
